even more stupid for him is that when he brought the tracks he gave us his address, phone number and email

...the interesting thing is that he actually runs a label himself called deep science recordings so find it funny that he is trying to make money from running a label whilst leaking everyone elses music onto the net

erinnert mich an eine sendung die ich letztes jahr über die letzte wirtschaftskrise gesehen hab. ich hab da jetzt keine statistik oder so was bereit, finde aber, dass sich gerade kleinere labels mir ihren "produkten" sehr viel mehr mühe geben als die großen. 180g vinyl ist keine seltenheit, beigelegter mp3-code mittlerweile standard, cover verknickt nicht gleich nach zwei mal anfassen - und das alles zu einem erschwinglichen endverbraucher-preis. da merkt man, dass da menschen ganz viel liebe reingesteckt haben. da bin ich gerne bereit, denen mein geld zu geben.

im dnb-bereich wird verstärkt auf digitalen vertrieb gesetzt, was die leute wohl auch gerne annehmen. soweit ich weiss, liegt da das verhältnis im moment bei 60% / 40% physikalische tonträger / digitaler download. steigende tendenz digitaler download.

nachdem sich meiner meinung nach serato u.ä. durchgesetzt haben, sind die kunden auch hier bereit geld für hochwertige digitale tracks zu zahlen, die dann auch im club gut klingen. wenn kleinere oder up-and-coming labels gute tracks haben, und in der lage sind die anständig zu bewerben (dürfte via internet nicht so das problem darstellen, teuer ist das auch nicht) und ihre waren auf einer benutzerfreundliche platform anbieten, sollten sie immer noch in der lage sein, davon leben zu können. naja, sagen wir mal, wenn es ein ein-, zwei-leute betrieb ist. ist ja bei kleineren labels eh meist der fall.
probleme haben glaub ich eher die labls, die aus panik vor illegalem filesharing vom legalen digitalen markt fernbleiben.
ich halte es ausserdem für eine schlechte idee, wenn ein label droht (gerne auf der coverrückseite in riesenbuchstaben), mir das FBI auf den hals zu hetzten, sobald ich auch nur eine sicherheitskopie von dem tonträger mache. ich kauf doch nix von jemandem, der mir droht ...
