In just over a year, EGYPTRIXX has become an acclaimed presence in underground electronic music, his distinct sonic aesthetic has been garnering praise from heavyweight DJ's, including Bok Bok, Mary Ann Hobbs and Roska, and influential publications such as Fader, Xlr8r and The Wire.
With EP’s released on two of the hottest labels in the global underground, UK bass hub Night Slugs and the seemingly unstoppable Ramp Recordings. In May 2011 the highly anticipated release of the debut long-player Bible Eyes from the Toronto-based producer was released.
This is celestial club music; jeep music for a Saturn desert. There is an exhilarating right-but-wrong tension that all of EGYPTRIXX' songs share - a shifting balance between melodic and dissonant, rapturous and antisocial. His releases continue to challenge the status quo with a style informed by elements of techno, house, dubstep and avant pop music.
Egyptrixx live set will be supported by this year's Outlook Festival Mix Competition Winner JOE COSENESS, who won the award against 300 competitors and convinced the Jury with his extraordinary selection and mixing skills. He will be joined by 40Hz Residents JON AUTOMATA and RAMEEDAMEE.
